Customer called with a request to troubleshoot a garage door opener that for some unknown reason was not working.
To rule out the most basic issues, we first checked the power connections and the remote control. We then continued to look for more complex malfunctions that affect garage door openers. It did not take long to find a fried opener logic board that was out of commission. We replaced the board with a new model from LiftMaster since it matched the customer's previous unit and would allow for easy reprogramming of his current remote control. Fortunately, replacing the garage door opener board solved all the problems.
